Dear Coffee, I just cannot live without you. With LOTS of Love, KM :)

Being known as a coffee addict is most likely to blame, but this was a requested topic.  As a joke I'm sure..
Regardless, I take coffee pretty seriously ;)

If there is one thing I cannot live without..that would be coffee. Trust me I've tried & it always seems to fail miserably. I don't just have a one way of drinking it either. Depending on my mood would determine if I drink it black, with sugar, with milk, with foam, with syrups, over ice, or even blended. So although I am a frequent visitor of starbucks, they can never seem to remember my drink because it's constantly changing. & to make things even funnier I never seem to order drinks on the menu. I don't know if that is because subconciously I've boycotted the idea of being unoriginal or ordering similar drinks to everyone else...Or if it's because I just want stronger drinks that aren't as popular. Maybe it's a combination of those two thoughts. However some of the drinks I order which are not on the menu any longer are the "Iced Marble Mocha Macchiato", the "Starbucks Double Shot" (which normally comes iced), Or I just make my own variation a "Non-fat Lattee or Cappuccino with 2 raw sugars" (sometimes I replace the raw sugars with Raspberry syrup - which btw is to die for!). There are many many many more, however those are my favorites.

At one point or another I have probably been to almost every cafe shop in the Orlando area. Including Austin's Coffee & Film, Natura Coffee & Tea, Rainforest Cafe, Stardust Cafe, most Barnies and Starbucks locations...and more. I even accidentally spilt coffee on my mac that's how much of an addict I am. But although all the places I've enjoyed a cup of joe, I have to admit that the BEST cup of coffee I have EVER had was made by my best friend. I don't know if it's because she's mexican, amazing, or both...But her coffee is flipping amazing. Just saying. & the second best coffee I've ever had would be my own. Except out of laziness and the extreme want to be anywhere more interesting than my home..I frequently find myself heading to a local or not so local coffee shop. (Yes, I'll drive to a distant one...Just because). If you can relate to this...Please leave a comment with a quick description. I would LOVE to read about your similar stories. :)

  1. I just had a conversation about this with a girl from my class. We went into depth on how drinking coffee is more than just a quick pick-me-up. It's about "the entire act of going to the coffee shop and experiencing the wonderful smells, taste, and feeling of drinking coffee."

How it is an experience of its own that can't be compared. Sometimes it's not just the caffeine withdrawals-although, I can't say they aren't a part of it, either!- but just the pure joy of going to the counter and the excitement of having it prepared just the way you want it right then and there.

    :)
